JOE MANTEGNA & NATIONAL MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT"


Criminal Minds: Emmy Award winner Gary Sinise and Tony Award winner Joe Mantegna will co-host PBS' "National Memorial Day Concert," which will be broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol May 29 beginning at 8 PM ET; check local listings.

The 90-minute broadcast will feature appearances and/or performances by General Colin L. Powell (Ret.), Kris Allen, Dianne Wiest, B.B. King, Hayley Westenra, Forest Whitaker, Jason Ritter, Daniel Rodriguez, Yolanda Adams and Maestro Jack Everly as well as The National Symphony Orchestra, Military District of Washington, U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, The U.S. Army Chorus, The Soldiers’ Chorus of The United States Army Field Band, U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters and U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants.

The concert is broadcast live on PBS and live via American Forces Network to the nearly one million American service men and women, Department of Defense civilians and their families overseas, stationed at bases in 175 countries as well as 140 U.S. Navy ships at sea.

This year's concert also will include a tribute to our World War II veterans 70 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor and a commemoration of the ten-year anniversary of 9/11.
