ANOTHER CRIMINAL MINDS FAMILY PROJECT:

Criminal Minds: Rick Dunkle is the script coordinator for Criminal Minds. He's asked that I post the following. Rick is a part of our Criminal Minds family so lets try to join him in lending aid.

Friends,

As you may have heard, Indiana was rocked this past weekend when a major rain storm unleashed close to a foot of rain in a single day, causing mass flooding which reeked havoc across the state, in particular in my hometown of Franklin, Indiana, located in Johnson County, one of the hardest hit areas. While my family was thankfully among the lucky ones, a majority of the community was not so fortunate. Initial estimates put the damage in the hundreds of millions of dollars, with most victims - including my friends and their families - uninsured against flooding. While the loss of life was relatively limited, the personal losses are incalculable. Many people lost their homes, their belongings -- their way of life.

Clearly this tragic event is very personal to me. Many of the images being shown on television and online are of the community I grew up in. I am asking that anyone who has the means to do so please donate to the Indianapolis Red Cross so that the victims of this disaster do not have to start from scratch. Please note, all donations are tax deductible.

For your convenience, I have provided donation information below, and links to local newspapers reporting on “the worst disaster ever to hit the community”. I want to thank you in advance for your assistance in this time of need. And please know that the people of Indiana thank you as well.

Sincerely,
Rick Dunkle

P.S. Please feel free to forward this e-mail to anyone who might want to help. Thank you.
