CRIMINAL MINDS: OVERNIGHT RATINGS

FOX rolled to another ratings win Wednesday night, with "American Idol" expanding its results show to an hour and flattening everything in its path.

For the night, FOX earned a 10.6 rating/17 share. CBS, 7.3/12, finished a fairly healthy second. ABC, 4.7/8, edged NBC, 4.4/7, for third, and The CW took fifth with a 2.9/5.

FOX also led among adults 18-49, scoring a 7.0 rating in the key demographic for advertisers. ABC and CBS tied for second at 3.0, and The CW (2.2) managed to sneak ahead of NBC (2.1).

CBS' "Jericho" led a lackluster 8 p.m. field with a 5.3/9. The season finale of "'Til Death" on FOX drew a 5.0/8. A pair of "George Lopez" episodes, 4.1/7, tied with NBC's "Friday Night Lights" season finale for third (ABC had a small lead in total viewers). "America's Next Top Model," 3.6/6, was fifth overall for The CW but second in adults 18-49.

At 9 p.m., the expanded "Idol" results delivered a 16.2/25, jumping substantially in the second half-hour. CBS took second with "Criminal Minds," 8.3/13. NBC held steady with "Crossing Jordan," 4.1/6, while ABC dropped to fourth with "According to Jim," 3.2/5, and "In Case of Emergency," 2.4/4. The CW reran "The Search for the Next Doll."

CBS reclaimed the top spot at 10 p.m. thanks to "CSI: NY," 8.5/14. "Lost" earned a 7.1/12 for ABC, and NBC's "Medium" posted a 5.1/8.
